What is super makeup?
Super makeup is a body coloring that’s added to the TPE material to create a more realistic body shading effect. Unlike some other factories’ products, it is not painted on the surface, and does not rub off.
Why does super makeup look so dark? How long does it last?
Super makeup is applied more heavily to make it last longer. In the first 3 months it will look darker than natural. Over a few months, it will even out to look more natural. The shading will last for 2+ years.
What’s the difference between Catdoll body models? Is it just height?
You can think of the height of the Catdoll as a model number. Each Catdoll model is produced using a single master mold, all dolls with the same listed height are physically identical to one another.
Can I order a Catdoll with a customized body shape?
While Catdolls are all produced by hand, because each doll model is produced using a single master mold, customizing the body shape is not possible. We are still able to customize other internal aspects of the doll, including skeleton tightness, hole depth, hole width, and various other things.
Where are these dolls produced?
99.9% of dolls are made in small to mid-size factories China. There are a few surviving doll factories outside of China, but they are expensive, small batch boutique shops. Examples include RealDoll in the US and Orient Industries in Japan. Orient Industries has since shut down after decades of being the industry leader in Japan. The doll industry in Japan is huge, on par with the US. Because there are so many Japanese doll websites, and with Japan’s proximity to China, some people misinterpret this as Japan being a major producer of dolls, but this is not true.
How are dolls designed and produced?
How does ordering an in-stock doll work?
The dolls are often shipped to warehouses in the US and EU to speed up delivery times. This can give it a local touch. These warehouses are typically not specialized in dolls and often don’t even know what’s being stored inside the box. Because of this it’s better to order in-stock dolls from vendors that actually get hands on with the dolls to inspect them for shipping issues.
The Catdoll head I’m looking for isn’t listed as an option on the doll I want.
Currently, Catdoll head options for each body are split into 92-108cm, 115-128cm, 130-146cm, and 148cm+ categories. We’ve chosen the heads that we feel fit these bodies perfectly to display as options. However, sometimes photos of a head and body combination that aren’t recommended are shown on the product page. In this case, you can select “As Pictured” as the head option. In case you have a certain other head in mind, you can select “Head Not Listed” and put the name of the head you’d like in the Order Notes box.
